Michael-Florian is a leading expert in Sino-foreign transaction business and the founder of the Shanghai and Beijing offices. Under his leadership of more than 30 years, the China practice has developed into one of the most prestigious international practice areas of our firm. Since the early 1990s, he has been advising on investments in and out of China – from project structuring (including IP), drafting and negotiating contracts to questions of subsequent business operations.

His portfolio includes both nationally and provincially approved projects in China. Florian’s clients include multinational corporations and medium-sized companies as well as individual start-ups, especially technology-driven companies in the automotive and life sciences and healthcare sectors.

In various functions he is committed to improving cooperation between East and West: Florian is Secretary General of the German-Chinese Lawyers’ Association and a member of the board of the German Asia Pacific Business Association.
