Will Mercer is a partner in Taylor Walton’s Family Department based in the firm’s St Albans office.  Will advises clients on all aspects of Family Law including divorce and dissolution of civil partnerships, financial arrangements on the breakdown of relationships, children matters, cohabitation issues and pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements.

Will joined the firm as a Trainee in 2009 and qualified in 2011 before receiving a promotion in July 2016, making him the firm’s youngest partner after less than 5 years’ PQE.  This signified his maturity and value to the firm and he continues to impresses both peers and clients with his meticulous and pragmatic approach towards his work. Will is a committed member of Resolution and maintains an honest and professional stance while fighting for his clients’ preferred outcome with passion and determination.

Will is well known in St Albans having grown up and studied in the area.  Will is calm even in the most heated of cases and receives universally positive feedback from clients.  He has a broad skill set and has advised clients in a number of complicated financial matters including cases which involved farming assets, elements of ring-fencing non-matrimonial assets, conduct and addback arguments, post separation accrual of assets and in children work has achieved success for clients on numerous matters where clients were having little to no contact with children prior to instruction.
