INDUSLAW adds new Employment Law Partner

INDUSLAW is pleased to announce the addition of Debjani Aich to our Bangalore office as a Partner in the employment law practice.

Debjani brings a wealth of experience in advising multinational corporations on workforce-related operations in India, from both federal and state-level employment and labour law perspectives. Her expertise spans across a wide range of employment-related documentation, compensation structuring, compliance issues, employee transfer and integration, immigration matters, and employment negotiations. She is well-versed in handling complex employee terminations, including large-scale contentious reductions in force (RIFs), and often serves as external counsel during termination discussions.

Debjani is also highly regarded for her work in laws related to the prevention of sexual harassment (POSH) in the workplace, having undergone certified international training in this area. She regularly advises on Indian anti-sexual harassment laws and acts as an external member on the anti-sexual harassment committees of several clients. Furthermore, she conducts workplace training on employment laws, with a focus on POSH and discrimination, for both senior management and general employees. Debjani is a sought-after speaker at national and international conferences on employment issues.

Debjani has been recognised for employment by Chambers & Partners, Legal500, IBLJ, and WWL. Prior to joining INDUSLAW, Debjani was one of the key partners of Kochhar & Co’s employment law practice.

Gaurav Dani & Suneeth Katarki, Founding Partners at INDUSLAW, shared, “Debjani’s extensive experience and diverse skill set will greatly fuel our capability to provide strategic and comprehensive employment law solutions to our clients. We are confident that her addition will further solidify our position and, enable us to continue serving our clients.”

Debjani Aich remarked, “An alignment of vision for the evolving practice of law is what I’m looking forward to as I join IndusLaw. Exciting times indeed as we further enrich and diversify the labour and employment law practice at the firm.”
