Career

Attorney Park Jae Peel was sworn in as a judge in 1987 and served in the Korean court system for 22 years until his retirement as the Senior Judge of the Seoul District Court in February 2009. During his services as a judge, he served as the Research Judge of the Supreme Court of Korean from 2000 to 2002, during which he conducted research on appeal cases made to the Supreme Court. Also, he taught criminal trial practice and basic labor principles as a senior judge at the Judicial Research and Training Institute from 2003 to 2006. He joined Barun Law LLC as a partner attorney in March 2009. His practice focus is corporate-related criminal and civil litigation cases, commercial cases and civil provisional disposition cases.

He served as a member of the Bar Exam Committee (that creates the exam questions and grades the exam) while serving as a professor at the Judicial Research and Training Institute, and he also taught Introduction to Labor-Management Relations Law at the Labor Training Institute under the Ministry of Employment and Labor and Training Center under the Korea Employer’s Federation, and Basic Damages Litigation at the Training Center of Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance Group.
