S&R Associates Announces New Partners and Counsel
We are pleased to announce that Swapneil Akut, Raya Hazarika and Pratichi Mishra have been designated as retained partners at S&R Associates.
Swapneil Akut’s practice focuses on investment funds and capital markets. Swapneil advises issuers, sponsors, managers, limited partners and investment banks on structuring and fundraising for various investment vehicles, including alternative investment funds (AIFs), infrastructure investment trusts (InvITs) and real estate investment trusts (REITs). He advises on a range of capital markets transactions and also represents regulated financial intermediaries. Swapneil received a B.M.M. from the University of Mumbai in 2010 and an LL.B. from Government Law College, Mumbai in 2013. His prior experience includes working with EY, KPMG and J. Sagar Associates in Mumbai. Swapneil is based in the Firm’s Mumbai office.
Raya Hazarika’s corporate practice covers mergers and acquisitions, private equity, joint ventures, foreign investment, corporate governance and general corporate matters, including significant experience in the telecommunications, e-commerce, and technology sectors. She received a B.S.L., LL.B. from ILS Law College, Pune and joined S&R in 2013. Raya is based in the Firm’s New Delhi office.
Pratichi Mishra’s practice focuses on capital markets, corporate governance, regulatory and general corporate matters. She has represented issuers, investment banks and investors on a variety of equity, business trust and debt transactions, including public offerings, private placements, InvIT and REIT transactions, rights issues, preferential allotments, institutional placements, debt offerings and block trades. Pratichi was appointed as a member of the Securities and Exchange Board of India’s Hybrid Securities Advisory Committee in 2022. She received a B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) from National Law University, Delhi and joined S&R in 2014. Pratichi is based in the Firm’s Mumbai office.
We are also pleased to announce that Akshat Kulshrestha, Kinnari Sanghvi and Prateek Sharma have been designated as counsel at the Firm.
Akshat Kulshrestha’s competition law practice includes merger control in M&A transactions and investigations relating to anti-competitive agreements and abuse of dominance. Akshat received a B.S.L., LL.B. (Hons.) from Navalmal Firodia Law College, Pune in 2010 and a diploma in EU Competition Law from King’s College London in 2018. His prior experience includes working with AZB & Partners in New Delhi. Akshat is based in the Firm’s New Delhi office.
Kinnari Sanghvi’s corporate practice covers mergers and acquisitions, private equity, financing and general corporate matters, including significant experience in the financial services sector. She received a B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) from Symbiosis Law School, Pune in 2009 and an LL.M. from the London School of Economics and Political Science in 2012. Her prior experience includes working with A&M Law Offices in New Delhi. Kinnari is based in the Firm’s New Delhi office.
Prateek Sharma’s corporate practice covers mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, foreign investment and general corporate matters. He also has significant experience in the infrastructure, REIT and technology sectors. Prateek received a B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) from the National Law School of India University, Bengaluru and joined S&R in 2013. Prateek is based in the Firm’s New Delhi office.
