Chirag is a corporate and commercial lawyer and is a part of the General Corporate practice group having special expertise in e-commerce and technology sectors. His practice mainly consists of acting for promoters, management teams, corporate clients, and institutional investors on a wide range of domestic and cross-border transactions including acquisitions, joint ventures, restructuring, private equity investments, primary and secondary equity issues, and other corporate transactions.

Apart from transaction work, he routinely advises corporate clients and entrepreneurs from incumbent sectors (such as retail, food, and beverages) as well as disintermediating sectors (such as ecommerce, digital products, payments, and information technology) on entry, exit and presence in the Indian market and other general corporate matters under Indian laws.

Advised clients on strategic private equity investment transactions and venture capital deals. Advised clients on court approved amalgamations, acquisitions, business transfer and asset transfer transactions. Advised leading retail, e-commerce, technology companies in setting up their businesses and entry into India. Advised clients on legal issues pertaining to payments and financial regulatory aspects including operation of pre-paid payment instruments, tokenization, payment aggregators, payment gateways, payment data localization, and UPI payments. Advised large corporates and Fortune 500 multi-national corporations on general day-to-day corporate advisory matters in relation to various applicable laws, including compliances on conducting business in sectors ranging from manufacturing, engineering consulting, retail, e-commerce, technology, payments, hospitality, health care, insurance, and F&B sector.
