Career
Tony has more than 27 years standing as a legal counsel with extensive experience and expertise in Commercial Dispute Resolution (both in Indonesia and overseas); Bankruptcy and Corporate Restructuring; Environment and Natural Resources. Tony is also one of the few legal practitioners in Indonesia who is qualified as both capital market legal consultant and tax court attorney.
Tony is an accredited Indonesian professional advocate, mediator, and arbiter. Tony is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb) and registered as a mediator and arbitrator in a number of institutions providing/mediating and arbitration services both in Indonesia and abroad, including: the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC, previously known as KLRCA); Singapore Chamber for Maritime Arbitration (SCMA); Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC); the Indonesian Commodities Arbitration Institution (BAKTI); and the Conflict Resolution Unit (CRU) of the Indonesia Business Council for Sustainable Development (IBCSD). Tony is the first Indonesian advocate and is currently the only one registered and eligible to proceed at the Singapore International Commercial Court (SICC).
Tony graduated from the University of Tarumanagara, Indonesia, with a Bachelor of Law degree in Business Law (1996) and from the University of Leiden, Netherlands, with a Master of Law degree in International Business Law (2001).
