Career

Shweta is a Senior Partner in Krishnamurthy & Co. (“K Law”). She started her career with K Law in 2004 and has been committed to the Firm ever since. Her commitment to work, integrity and dedication to K Law and its clients have enabled her to grow exponentially within the Firm, and she now heads the Corporate and Commercial law practice in Bengaluru. Building the Corporate and Commercial practice in Bengaluru from a team of 3 to 35 lawyers, within a span of 10 years, and ensuring that it is one of the finest firms in Bengaluru has been one of her greatest contributions to K Law.

In addition, Shweta has been a member of various corporate boards, including SABMiller, and special committees in relation to law and governance. She regularly conducts workshops and mentorship programmes for start-ups and entrepreneurs on doing business in India as well as investment structures/asks in PE/VC deals.

Shweta is regularly invited as a speaker on various conferences and workshops including at The Legal Helpline Show by Lawyered & PTC, 2021. She conducts regular workshops for Bangalore Angels, GSF Accelerator, in Bangalore as well as workshops and mentorship programmes for start-ups and entrepreneurs on doing business in India as well as investment structures/asks in PE/VC deals.

Shweta is an Associate Editor for the Manupatra Intellectual Property Reports and has co-authored an article on the “Liberalisation Initiative: Contracts for Sale and Purchase of Securities”.

A mother of two, Shweta knows exactly how to handle her personal life while delivering her professional commitments. Shweta has been acclaimed for her work through accolades including being recognised as one of the Super 50 Lawyers in India by Asian Legal Business (Thomson Reuters), 2021 and being recognised as a Recommended Lawyer for Private Equity & Investment Funds by The Legal 500 Asia-Pacific 2022.
