Mr. Weng specializes in public offerings and private placement, M&A, corporate restructuring, FDI and other corporate or securities market transactions.

In the area of capital markets and corporate finance, Mr. Weng has represented numerous private enterprises, state-owned enterprises and foreign companies in relation to initial public offerings, bonds issuance, private placement and rights issues.

In the area of M&A, corporate restructuring and private equity funds, Mr. Weng has advised a wide variety of clients including some leading companies and investment institutions. His involvements include some high-profile mergers and acquisitions, investments and corporate restructuring deals.

Mr. James Weng received LL.B., LL.M. and Ph.D. in Law from Xiamen University.  In 2004 and 2005 he was admitted into the Lord Chancellor’s Training Scheme sponsored by the Lord Chancellor Department of the British Government, and undertook training at London University, Linklaters, and Quadrant Chamber respectively.
