Career

Wan Nor Nadia graduated from the International Islamic University Malaysia (“IIUM”) with a First Class in LL.B Syariah (Hons) in 2011 as well as Second Class Upper LL.B (Hons) in 2010.

She was the recipient of several awards during her studies, among others, the Best Student of LL.B Syariah and Best Student for Public International Law. She was also on the Dean’s List for several semesters and was listed in the Rector’s List of the 26th IIUM Convocation. She has a keen interest in Islamic Banking, Corporate Law and Conveyancing.

Her first legal experience was during her first year of studies, as an attachment student in Kuala Lumpur High Court in 2007. During her second year, she was attached at Human Rights Commission (SUHAKAM). She also has done her attachment in a legal firm in Kuala Lumpur.

Wan Nor Nadia joined Azmi & Associates to undertake her pupilage period under the supervision of the Senior Partner, Dato’ Azmi Mohd Ali. During her pupilage period, she has been involved in general corporate matters, amongst others, incorporation of private limited company, conversion of private company to public company, change of company name, attending to the amendment of Memorandum and Articles of Association of a public listed company in compliance with Main Market Listing Requirements.

In Financial Services

Advising a reputable Malaysian Bank for a Term Loan facility of RM25 million granted to a private company involved in the development and construction of twelve (12) units of villa. Advising a reputable Malaysian Bank for a Bai Bithaman Ajil Facility of RM32,510,000.00 granted to a private company involved in automotive sectors. Assisted in the preparation and drafting of loan documentation for a Term Loan Facility of RM194 million granted by Ministry of Finance to a private company involved in supply of electricity. Assisted in the preparation and drafting of loan documentation for an Uncommitted Revolving Facility of USD500 million granted by Mizuho Bank Ltd granted to a shipping company. Advising a reputable Malaysian Bank for a Term Equity Financing-i (TEF-i) /ShopSave -i III (1) of RM16 million granted to a private company towards finance the purchase single storey detached factory with a double storey office annexed; Advising Malaysian Bank for a for a Flexi Term Financing-i of RM17,100,000.00 granted to a private company towards finance the purchase of three (3) storey detached commercial building located in Kuala Lumpur; Advising a reputable Malaysian Bank for a financing facility of RM131 million in relation to the purchase of three (3) pieces of commercial land; Advising a reputable Malaysian Bank for a financing facility of RM29,133,000.00 in relation to the re-financing of seven (7) units of boutique offices; Advising a reputable Malaysian Bank for a financing facility of RM18,750,000.00 for working capital requirement as well as the issuance of bank guarantee; Advising a reputable Malaysian Bank for a financing facility of RM23,050,000.00 in relation to the purchase of vacant commercial land as well as development of proposed housing development; Advising various local financial institutions in corporate loan/financing documentation granted to various companies particularly towards the purchase of property and working capital requirement.

In Real Estate

Involving in a reputable developer’s project at Bandar Baru Sri Petaling, 44 units of shop office for the price ranging from RM2 million to RM8 million each; Involving in a reputable developer’s project known Temasya Cinta, Shah Alam 32 units of double storey semi-detached house for the price ranging from RM2.9 million to 3.7 million; Attending to the reviewing and negotiating of sale and purchase of a bungalow house for a purchase price of RM22 million located in Penang; Attending to the reviewing and negotiating of sale and purchase of single storey detached factory with a double storey office annexed for the purchase price of RM20 million located in Subang Jaya; Attending to the drafting and negotiating of sale and purchase of five (5) storey office building for the purchase price of RM56,132,075.00 located in Cyberjaya; Attending to the drafting and negotiating of sale and purchase of 607.8 hectares of estate land for the purchase price of RM36 million located in Kelantan; Attending to the reviewing and negotiating of sale and purchase of factory for the purchase price of RM105 million located in Shah Alam; Attending to the drafting and negotiating of sale and purchase of factory for the purchase price of RM7.75 million located in Melaka; Attending to the drafting and negotiating of sale and purchase of vacant commercial land for the purchase price of RM63 million located in Kinrara, Puchong; Attending to the drafting and negotiating of sale and purchase of vacant commercial land for the purchase price of RM73.5 million located in Bandar Baru Petaling; Attending to the drafting and negotiating of sale and purchase of vacant commercial land for the purchase price of RM44 million located in Kinrara, Puchong Involving in a reputable developer’s project known as Temasya Legasi, Shah Alam 50 units of double storey semi-detached house for the price ranging from RM1.3 million to 2.8 million; Attending to the drafting and negotiating of various sale and purchase of properties by individuals; and Attending to the drafting of various tenancy agreements for commercial property and lease agreement.
