Associate

Jennifer is an Associate in BTO’s Personal Injury team.

Jennifer principally acts for insurers in investigating and defending personal injury actions. She specialises in defending a variety of damages claims including industrial disease, food poisoning, employer’s liability, public liability, road traffic accidents, catastrophic injury and fatal claims.

Jennifer has investigated and defended a vast number of complex, high value claims, including an e-coli outbreak from a food source, a bus crash involving multiple claimants with a varying range of injuries and cases involving allegedly medical negligent surgery.

She has been involved in a number of claims considering the question of whether a pursuer will qualify as a secondary victim and has experience in claims including catastrophic injuries and fatalities.

Jennifer handles a wide range of industrial disease cases including hearing loss, vibration and asbestos exposure. She handles claims from pre-litigation stage to conclusion, and has a vast experience in both the Sheriff Court and Court of Session.

Her approachable style helps her to assist clients resolve matters at the earliest possible stage and answer queries in non-technical, practical terms.
