Partner
Extensive experience across the full spectrum of defender personal injury claims. His practice includes cases involving injuries such as head/brain injury, amputations, neurological conditions, chronic pain, psychiatric and psychological disorders and fatalities.
He is regularly instructed in complex cases which have an international element to them involving arguments regarding jurisdiction and applicable law.
Garry is also an accredited civil and commercial mediator and regularly acts as a mediator in a wide range of disputes.

Work highlights:
£2.7million Court action arising from an accident at work, in which the pursuer, who had previously suffered traumatic amputation of two fingers, suffered a serious crush injury to his other hand. Instructed in a clinical negligence case by a software company, where a misdiagnosis of cancer lead to unnecessary surgical treatment. Employer’s liability, stress, bullying and harassment at work court action arising from alleged failure to address employee’s concerns over covid safety measures.Languages

Memberships
Garry is member of the Law Society of Scotland. He is also an active member of the Forum of Insurance Lawyers (FOIL) and is a former Chair of FOIL in Scotland and Scottish representative on the FOIL UK National Committee. He is currently a member of the Scottish Major Loss SFT, and the (only) Scottish member on the FOIL UK Rehabilitation SFT. He is a member of the Insurance Fraud Investigators Group. He is also a member of the Scottish Mediation Clinic. He is also a member of ADR Group.
