Partner and Head of Immigration.
Liz has a wide-ranging practice covering all aspects of immigration, EEA, nationality and asylum law, and is well known for her work with unaccompanied children and vulnerable clients.
She is regularly instructed by NGOS and local authorities in relation to children in care, and has experience in public law. She has acted in cases before the First Tier and Upper Tribunal, the Administrative Court, Court of Appeal and Court of Justice of the European Union.
Career
Liz trained at Bindmans LLP and qualified in September 2000; worked for Mary Ward Legal Centre after qualifying, and rejoined Bindmans in April 2001.
Memberships
Liz is a member of the Immigration Law Practitioners’ Association (ILPA), and is a Law Society IAAS Accredited Supervisor and Advanced Caseworker.
Education
Liz has a degree in history from Cambridge University. After some years working for Women’s Aid and a local authority, Liz started her legal education studying her Common Professional Examination with the College of Law, and then her LPC which she achieved with distinction.
