Career

Abby is an Associate in the Employment Practice having joined the firm in 2022. After working as a paralegal and then as a trainee in the employment law departments of other firms, she qualified in Hong Kong as a lawyer in 2021.

Abby advises clients on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment law matters. In particular, she has experience in preparing documentation including employment contracts and handbooks and advising clients on the processes of recruitment, termination/separation of employment, post-termination restrictions, employment related policies, investigations on employment-related matters by regulatory authorities and discrimination issues. Abby also has also assisted in various employment litigation cases in the Labour Tribunal and Court of First Instance as well as appearing in employment related criminal matters in the Magistrate’s Court.

Prior to joining Tanner De Witt, Abby also had experience in coordinating multi-jurisdictional projects involving employee data protection and assisting in the employment aspects of corporate and commercial transactions including due diligence and transfer of business issues.
