Amna Warsi
Amna Warsi completed her graduation and her LLM from the Punjab University, Lahore in 2004.  She was enrolled as an Advocate in 2001 and as an Advocate of High Court in 2003. She has advised on a number of infrastructure and energy projects. Ms. Warsi gives regular input to various government stakeholders on regulatory matters related to strategic export controls, chemical weapons convention, biological weapon convention and implementation of civil aviation conventions. She has also represented Pakistan in the Diplomatic Conference on Space Protocol on the Convention on International Interests in Mobile Equipment.

Ms. Warsi completed her graduation and her LLM from the Punjab University, Lahore in 2006.  She was enrolled as an Advocate in 2003 and as an Advocate of High Court in 2005. Ms. Warsi handles the firm’s transactional work for both the public and private entities in the energy, infrastructure and development sectors. Ms. Warsi has extensive experience of advising corporate and public clients on a diverse range of issues including civil work and infrastructure, fuel supply, motorway extension, public procurements and other project documents. She has also represented Pakistan in the Diplomatic Conference on Space Protocol on the Convention on International Interests in Mobile Equipment

Bakhtawar Bilal Soofi
Bakhtawar is a Senior Associate at the firm’s office in Lahore where he works as part of the Dispute Resolution practice. As part of the dispute resolution practice, he has advised on several construction-related disputes involving the Neelum-Jhelum Hydro Power Project, Dasu Hydro Power Project, Suki Kinari Hydro Power Project, Kohala Hydro Power Project, Orange Line Metro Bus Project Lahore, Rawalpindi-Islamabad Metro Project, Multan Metro Project, Serena Hotel Project, EOBI Mall/Mixed Used Development Project, UCH-II Gas Field Project, Qatar Radio and Television Complex with Asghal and the NHA-Magic River dispute on the M-2. His experience in this sector includes preparation of claims pertaining to extension of time (EOT), prolongation costs, acceleration costs, disruption costs, claims for escalation in unit rates, variations and their pricing and other tax related issues that affect project time-lines and costs. Bakhtawar is also an integral part of the firm’s Property and Real Estate practice. He has advised on a number of real estate projects which includes Vantage 94 Apartment Buildings by Casa Grande Ventures Private Limited, Capital Smart City Islamabad by Future Development Holdings, Pak Arab Housing Society by Vital Enterprises, River-Ravi Urban Development Project by Habib Rafiq Private Limited and the development of the Central Business District by the Lahore Central Business District Development Authority (LCBDDA). Prior to joining ABS & Co, Bakhtawar worked at Saad Rasool Law Associates and at Haidermota & Co in Karachi where he worked as a corporate attorney on several transactions in the energy and infrastructure sectors. He frequently writes in some of Pakistan’s leading English newspapers including Dawn and The News. He has co-authored the In-House Lawyer’s country guide to Commercial Litigation in Pakistan. He is a member of the Adjunct Faculty at the Sheikh Ahmad Hassan School of Law at LUMS and has also previously taught at the Nadira Hasan Law Department at Kinnaird.
Shahrukh Iftikhar
Barrister Shahrukh Iftikhar is an Associate Partner and heads the Corporate and Commercial Practice of the firm’s Islamabad office. Barrister Shahrukh Iftikhar has been actively involved in advising different entities in relation to corporate compliances, issues in relation to employee benefits and retention, setting up trusts funds, advising international conglomerates in relation to anti-dumping investigations initiated by the State of Pakistan, advice in relation to registration of forms of intellectual property with the IPO, negotiation of technological and software enhancement agreements on behalf of private clientele, management of non-banking finance companies in relation to portfolio management and advice in relation to CVAS licensing regime under relevant PTA laws. He is also acclaimed for his work with the Ministry of Commerce with the drafting of the Trade Dispute Resolution Act and framing of the Rules thereunder. Further he has has also been involved in drafting amendment laws for regulatory bodies; corporate governance and compliance relating to the registration and incorporation of companies in Pakistan; procurement and construction contracts for project companies setting up power plants in Pakistan; concession documents pertaining to oil and gas companies; corporate restructuring for transactions and proceedings before the Competition Commission. He has also been actively involved in advising MNO’s in relation to general and specific authorizations with respect to access and interconnection, allocation of spectrum by FAB, active and passive infrastructure, tariff, cybersecurity, interception, portability, terms and conditions of the license and type approval.
