Pawan has extensive experience in corporate and commercial laws, with a specific focus on strategic investments, private equity investments, cross-border investments, acquisitions, joint ventures, setting up of operations, corporate restructurings and compliance management.  His strength lies in understanding the business before commencing any assignment.  In a legal due diligence exercise he not only seeks to identify the apparent legal risks, but using understanding of the business also evaluates risks that may arise on account of the operational methodology and processes, e.g. gaps between rights obtained in the procurement process and obligations assumed in the sale/ supply.  While handling negotiations of investment documentation he closely examines the inter play between the rights of the existing investors and the incoming investors to iron out the conflicts that may arise.

His industry specific experience includes manufacturing, project finance, insurance, information technology, pharma, education, telecommunication sectors.

Pawan Kumar is a Partner in Tatva Legal New Delhi. He graduated with a BBA.LLB degree from Symbiosis Law School, Pune, and holds a diploma in Mergers & Acquisitions from Asian School of Cyber Laws.
