KALASHINI SANDRASEGARAN
Kalashini Sandrasegaran graduated with a degree in law from the University of London in 2010 and completed her Certificate in Legal Practice in the following year. She commenced pupillage in the chambers of Mohanadass Kanagasabai in Messrs. Mohanadass Partnership from January 2012 to October 2012. She was called to the Malaysian Bar on 9 November 2012. She has extensive dispute resolution experience, with a primary focus in arbitration (both international and domestic) involving oil & gas, construction and engineering, energy, contract and commercial disputes. In addition, she also has experience in attending to civil and commercial litigation disputes at all levels of the Malaysian Courts, including assisting with appeals at Appellate level, as well as adjudication proceedings instituted pursuant to the Construction Industry Payment and Adjudication Act 2012 (CIPAA).

Mohanadass Kanagasabai has three decades of dispute resolution experience having appeared as counsel in numerous disputes at all levels of the Courts, including the High Court, Court of Appeal and the Federal Court, as well as in domestic and international arbitration. He has also been granted special ad-hoc admission to appear at the High Court of Borneo. He is ranked by the Asia Pacific Legal 500 in its “Hall of Fame” for dispute resolution in Malaysia and also recognized in Band 1 for his expertise in Dispute Resolution (Construction) by Chambers and Partners. Described as an “arbitration specialist” with a “giant reputation”, Mohan is a former President of the Malaysian Institute of Arbitrators and former Chair of the Dispute Resolution and Arbitration Committee of the Inter Pacific Bar Association. Mohan was also recognized by Asian Legal Business, a Thomson Reuters publication, in its inaugural list of Asia Super 50 Disputes Lawyers, recognizing the top 50 dispute lawyers based in Asia. Mohan has served on the Advisory Council of the AIAC. He is empaneled as Arbitrator by several arbitral institutions including AIAC and SIAC. He has extensive experience as arbitrator in construction, contract, commercial, energy and infrastructure disputes.

Shamsul is a litigator and practices civil litigation and advisory. He was called to the Malaysian Bar in 2003, and has handled a diverse range of matters including land disputes, shareholders disputes, construction and commercial disputes and Industrial Relations disputes. Shamsul has appeared at all levels of courts in the Malaysian legal system including the Special Court established under Article 182 of the Federal Constitution, and regularly represents clients in commercial and corporate disputes in both court and arbitration. Apart from appearing in Court, Shamsul has also advised numerous clients consisting of multi-national corporations on various issues.

Syarihah started her legal career at the Attorney General’s Chambers where she was in the advisory division of the Ministry of Human Resources.  During her time at the AG’s chambers she advised the cabinet and the then Minister of Human Resources on the various acts under the purview of the ministry. After the AG’s chambers, Syarihah joined a leading Kuala Lumpur law firm where she specialised in international and domestic dispute resolution. She has extensive dispute resolution experience in oil & gas and construction engineering matters and has appeared as co-counsel in arbitrations in London, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok. Syarihah also has wide experience in diverse types of disputes including corporate, commercial, and contractual disputes. She is also actively involved in the Malaysian Institute of Arbitrators, the Malaysian Bar Council and the Kuala Lumpur Bar.
