Mika Puurunen is a partner in Bird & Bird's Corporate and M&A Group in Helsinki, where he advises his domestic and international clients on assignments related to capital markets, M&A and corporate law. He also advises his clients on regulatory matters concerning investment funds, investment firms and credit institutions.

During his career he has worked with numerous public companies with assignments covering equity issues, IPOs, M&A, corporate governance and restructuring. In addition, Mika has advised many Nordic and international fund managers and investment firms on a variety of regulatory matters. His clients have described him as a business-minded and solution-oriented lawyer who is easy to work with.

Before joining Bird & Bird in 2019, Mika worked as a Senior Legal Counsel in the corporate finance department of one of the leading financial institutions in Finland, where he handled both clients' capital markets transactions and various regulatory matters of the bank. In addition, for several years Mika worked at another leading Nordic law firm in Finland.
