My incisive understanding of clients' needs, the local market, an appreciation of different business cultures, coupled with a commercial outlook, enables me to assemble and lead a team to deliver practical tailored solutions and handle complex multi-jurisdictional transactions.

With over 18 years' experience in a range of corporate work across various sectors in Singapore and Asia Pacific, I have developed a broad area of expertise around mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture capital and equity capital markets.

My practice encompasses advising buyers and sellers in mergers and acquisitions in the private and public markets. I also advise on private equity and venture capital investments and exits.

The rise of technology transforming various industries and the economy has created exciting opportunities for businesses to join forces and raise capital for their business ventures. Being at the heart of Asia in Singapore, I am privileged to be part of this transformation and have my practice evolve with my clients' changing business needs in this digital era. At Bird & Bird where technology is very much a driving force behind what we do, my team and I are very well placed to serve our clients as we understand their needs and industries. My transactional team works closely with the firm's sectoral colleagues where deep pockets of sectorial expertise sit. Together with my team, I have been involved in several cross border transactions in the Asia Pacific region and also inbound investments from elsewhere into Singapore and the region.

The other important focus of my practice is equity capital markets. I help local and international corporates, including start-ups, to raise capital by way of initial public offerings, private placements, rights and warrants issues, Private Investment in Public Equity (PIPE) offerings and take-private transactions for companies on the Singapore Exchange. We also act as Singapore counsel in outbound initial public offerings on other key international stock exchanges including NYSE, HKSE, ASX and Bursa Malaysia.

Having previously worked at other international law firms in New York, Hong Kong and Singapore, I am able to bring to the table my international experience and ability to seamlessly coordinate efforts across borders in multi-jurisdictional deals.

Bird & Bird acted for ST Engineering Ventures, the corporate venture capital arm of Singapore Technologies Engineering, on its Series B investment in Skyports Limited, a UK company in the business of designing, building and operating passenger and cargo vertiports to enable safe and efficient flight operations and operates drone delivery, survey and surveillance operations.

The cross-border team involved in this deal comprises corporate lawyers Marcus Chow, Peter Willis, Jolie Giouw and Ong Chin Ngee.

Bird & Bird ATMD advised Enero Group, an ASX-listed technology company operating a global collective of marketing and communications specialist agencies, in relation to its acquisition of 100% shares in the GetIT for up to a total consideration of US$15 million.

Bird & Bird advised as transactional counsel to Asia-focused private equity firm ABC Impact in its US$36 million funding in Iceotope Technologies, a UK-based precision immersion cooling tech firm. This transaction is illustrative of the interest around precision immersion cooling technologies for data centres on the back of climate change and need for environmentally sustainable solutions, as more data centres are set up globally.
