Rafał is Co-Managing Partner at Bird & Bird Poland’s office. He also co-heads our Corporate and M&A team in Warsaw.

Rafał specialises in mergers and acquisitions as well as in private equity transactions, financial law, and operations on the public market.

In recent years, Rafał was involved in some of the most prestigious M&A deals. He advised on one of the largest acquisitions ever made by a Polish company. Rafał's clients include top international players in various industries such as agricultural, chemical, FMCG, pharmaceutical, health, mining, public services, real estate and steel. He also advised financial institutions in the context of M&A transactions. Rafał is a skilled negotiator and strategist. He creates transaction strategies taking into consideration business risks, potential deal breakers and clients’ expectations. He supports clients in negotiations and advises on corporate governance.

Rafał works in Polish, English and French.

He has been a member of the Warsaw Bar since 2003.

He graduated from the Faculty of Law of Warsaw University in 1997. He has more than 17 years of experience covering the whole range of corporate and M&A work, including conducting share sale transactions, transactions on the Warsaw Stock Exchange and privatisations, asset sales, divestitures, joint ventures, investment agreements, and resolving shareholders' conflicts.
