As Counsel, Head of Banking and Finance and Capital Markets of the Budapest office at Bird & Bird, Csongor specialises in banking, finance and capital markets transactions, offering considerable experience in M&A, bankruptcy and restructuring, as well as energy projects and general corporate and commercial law.

Over 15 years of experience, Csongor has represented numerous Hungarian and international financial institutions, as well as borrower companies, in various project finance and syndicated lending transactions, cross-border transactions, mostly in corporate financings and in the energy and real estate sectors.

He spent secondment at IBM in the legal department responsible for CEMA countries (Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa) in Vienna and also spent one year at UniCredit Bank (London Branch) in London at the Loan Syndication and LBO desk, and nine months at CIB Bank Budapest (Intesa Sanpaolo S.p.A.).

His track record in corporate and M&A matters includes complex corporate restructurings in numerous sectors, and mergers in banking and other industries, as well as advising on large M&A transactions in Hungary.
