Position

Coral Yáñez is the Managing Partner of Bird & Bird’s Madrid office and Head of the Regulatory & Administrative team.

She has more than 20 years of full lifecycle regulatory experience on renewable projects (PV, wind, biomass and thermosolar administrative authorisations, due diligences, grid connection and access permits, etc.), and representing energy companies before the relevant national, regional and municipal public authorities.

She is also an expert litigator who has handled and led key judicial reviews before the Spanish Courts of Justice on Energy & Utilities related matters (challenging wind farms tenders, electricity blackouts, feed-in tariff regime for solar PV plants, tariffs settlements for biomass plants, grid access disputes, sanctions, among many others).
