Career
I am a partner in Bird & Bird’s Corporate team and the chief representative of the Beijing office. I have extensive experience in transactional and commercial work across various sectors.
I have advised multinational and Chinese clients on cross-border investments and M&As, as well as related compliance and regulatory matters in sectors including aviation, satellite, manufacturing, telecommunications, and renewable energy.
With more than 20 years experience in China, I assist Chinese companies with their outbound investments, especially in relation to filing/clearance matters in highly regulated markets dealing with areas such as CFIUS and FIRB as well as advising on the PRC Authority’s rules governing outbound investments.
I regularly work with my colleagues across Bird & Bird’s global network to advise Chinese companies, including well known state-owned enterprises and privately run businesses, on their offshore investments across Europe, Asia Pacific and the US.
In addition, I am experienced in dealing with data protection issues, including the General Data Protection Regulation, as well as matters involving export controls, sanctions and anti-corruption compliance.
