Waseem Pangarkar heads the Disputes Resolution, Corporate Litigation and Restructuring & Insolvency Practice at MZM Legal and Co-heads the While Collar Crime Litigation Practice. His practice with MZM Legal began over a decade ago with handling matters related to complex financial and securities fraud, domestic arbitrations and matrimonial briefs. His growing reputation with corporate clients, led to organic growth of this practice to include the high-value commercial arbitrations and complicated white-collar crime matters.

Today, he is an esteemed professional in his own right and the spectacular success of the Dispute Resolution vertical, led by him, is evident from the nature of disputes handled by this vertical at MZM legal.

Waseem is known for handling disputes that include high-value conflicts between multinational conglomerates and sovereign nation-states which are resolved via the challenging route of International Commercial Arbitrations. In such arbitrations, he leads his team in going toe to toe with foreign law firms. He represents Clients in disputes ranging from high-value EPC projects to complex multinational corporate dispute before various Domestic and Foreign Courts, Arbitral Tribunals and Institutional Bodies.

He has been actively involved in developing new practice verticals at MZM. One of the areas where he has gained vast experience in last couple of years is in handling complex cases pertaining to Restructuring & Insolvency ranging from advising, representing and defending various Financial Creditors,  Operational Creditors and Corporate Debtors alongwith representing the IRP/RP in the CIRP & liquidation process etc.

He is actively involved in advising the corporate conglomerates with respect to corporate policies and employment issues faced by them on a regular basis. He has been handling issues ranging from large scale employment restructuring to employee compensation, employer-union dispute, retrenchment and litigation associated to the same.

Waseem has completed a Comprehensive Course in International Commercial Arbitration certified by the Columbia Law School and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. Also, his membership various International Arbitration Institutions/Centres attest to his expertise in the International Commercial Arbitration arena. He is also a designated Member of CIARB and has been recognised as an Accredited Dispute Resolution Professional (Arbitrator and Mediator) by Federation of Integrated Conflict Management.
