Career

Ms. Pedron is a Partner specializing in intellectual property law. She is deeply involved in litigation work involving intellectual property rights enforcement especially in the counterfeiting of famous brands. She also acts as counsel of local and foreign media outfits for issues relating to copyright. She has an extensive experience in drafting and negotiating licensing agreements, as well as in the registration of patents and trademarks in the Philippines and in other jurisdictions. Ms. Pedron is an MCLE lecturer on intellectual property law, as well a lecturer for the Department of Science and Technology-Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (DOST-PCHRD) IP Lecture Series in the Regions.

Memberships

In 2005, Ms. Pedron attended an intellectual property rights training for lawyers in Tokyo sponsored by the Japan Patent Office, the Japan Institute of Invention and Innovation and the Association for Overseas Technical Scholarship. She is currently the President of the Intellectual Property Alumni Association composed of intellectual property practitioners that have attended the same training program.

Education

Ms. Pedron holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of the Philippines and was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2000.
