Career

Mr. Dizon is the head of the Firm's Labor and Employment practice group.

He has extensive experience handling arbitration disputes between corporations and its employees, involving dismissal cases and monetary claims. He has advised and assisted several corporations, including a foreign bank and a pioneer maritime school, in their collective bargaining negotiations with their unions and has handled corporate fraud cases.

Mr. Dizon also has solid experience in commercial litigation and cases involving the arbitrary use of police power by government agencies over private corporations. He handles for the firm’s clients their requirements for corporate litigation and labour relations and has drafted and reviewed labour policy manuals and employee handbooks for many of the firm’s clients including companies engaged in business process outsourcing such as call centers and finance and accounting back office services. He has also represented the firm’s clients before the Department of Labour and Employment regarding labour disputes relating to employee complaints and actions.

The Legal500 consistently recognizes Mr. Dizon as a Recommended Lawyer in Labor and Employment and Dispute Resolution.

Before joining the firm Martinez & Mendoza in 2004, Mr Dizon was the managing partner of the Dizon Yu and Associates Law Office. He was an associate lawyer at Singson Valdez & Associates from 1995 to 2002.
