Career
Jenny is a highly skilled financial services lawyer, with particular expertise in product development, managed funds and exchange traded funds (ETFs), Australian Financial Services (AFS) licence applications and corporate governance.
With previous work experience including roles with Vanguard (as in-house counsel and as Head of Product Implementation where she was responsible for launching Vanguard’s funds and ETFs in Australia and Hong Kong), Jenny has practical and commercial expertise in the end-to-end build and launch of funds and ETFs. Prior to Vanguard Jenny spent a decade working at the Australian Securities & Investments Commission, giving her a unique insight into regulation and policy.
Jenny enjoys building relationships with her clients and helping them grow their businesses. Jenny has helped clients launch various funds and ETFs, including the launch of the very first ‘duallisted’ ETF on Cboe Australia, active ETFs, diversified ETFs and ESG ETFs. Jenny has also successfully applied for AFS licences and enjoys supporting clients with regulatory matters and engagement with ASIC.
Jenny is an experienced board member and holds a number of leadership positions. She is currently the Chair of the Western Bulldogs Football Club Community Foundation, a member of the Western Bulldogs Ethics & Integrity Committee, a board member of AFL Victoria and a board member of VicScreen.
Jenny has a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the University of Melbourne. In 2016, she attended Harvard Business School as the Hugh DT Williamson Scholar; a prestigious scholarship awarded by the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FINSIA). She is also a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Australian Institute of Superannuation Trustees.
Jenny was named in the Australian Financial Review 100 Women of Influence 2018 in the board and management category. In the 2020 Queen’s Birthday Honours, Jenny received the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for services to the financial and investment sectors, and to the community.
