Career
Mr. Ragib Kabir has a wealth of experience in representing our international and domestic clientele in wide-ranging areas of law, particularly in the areas of energy and mining, corporate and commercial transactions, customs laws, merger and acquisition, company, banking and finance, financial crime, dispute resolution, labour and employment. He is also recognized for corporate commercial litigation in the Courts and Tribunals and has acted as a counsel in some notable arbitration involving construction, international trade and energy.
Mr. Kabir’s clientele includes some notable multinational companies namely, Asa International N.V., CCL Industries Inc., Juki Singapore Pte. Ltd., A.P. Moller- Maersk A/S, IRIS Corporation Berhad, Radisson Hotel Group, International Beverages Pvt. Ltd. (Coca Cola Bangladesh), DHL International GmbH, Mashreqbank Plc. In addition to advising multinational companies and financial institutions on a regular basis, he has also advised some of the major banks in Bangladesh such as Eastern Bank Limited, Export-Import Bank of Bangladesh Limited, Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited, Dhaka Bank Limited, and Southeast Bank Limited on a wide range of Banking law matters including but not limited to debt restructuring, recovery of loans, securities, and regulatory matters. Mr. Kabir also collaborated with Deloitte Legal International Pte. Ltd., a renowned international law firm on numerous projects. Mr. Kabir is a regular contributor of Doing Business Report published by the World Bank Group.
Mr. Kabir has been highly commended by a state-owned intelligence agency and a leading international hotel chain in swiftly resolving a convoluted construction dispute. His other notable work includes advising Energypac Group in a high-volume equity investment by UAE based construction conglomerate, advising Mashreqbank psc, UAE in a complex financing for a power project and advising a leading telecommunications service provider in a significant dispute resolution involving its outsourced labours.

Mr. Kabir was called to the bar of England and Wales by the Hon’ble Society of Lincoln’s Inn in the year 2014. He has obtained his PGDL (BPTC) from City University of London, UK and LLB from London Metropolitan University, UK.
