Career

Alison rejoined Walker Morris having previously worked in the Firm’s Planning & Environment Team before moving to Kings Chambers to practice as a barrister.  As an experienced advocate Alison provides combined advocacy and litigation services in High Court cases, including judicial review and section 288 challenges, in addition to her established Public Inquiry practice. With over ten years’ experience Alison specialises in advising clients in all areas of planning and environment law, and has acted on a variety of major development projects including housing, minerals, waste, retail and renewable energy.

Alison has a Masters in environment law and regularly acts for clients defending prosecutions, including those relating to waste permits, the protection of listed buildings and alleged breaches of abatement and/or planning enforcement notices.

Alison’s expertise allows her to provide valuable strategic advice to clients from the inception of projects, through to securing permissions for developments at planning appeal and, thereafter, representing clients in any subsequent High Court proceedings. Alison’s ability to act at all stages of a project facilitates a highly detailed and in depth understanding of the case, resulting in a bespoke client service, effective working with a wider project team and fostering positive outcomes for clients.
