M&A and General Corporate Practice Group

Abhishek is a Co – Founder and Partner of ASP Advocates and heads the Firm’s M&A and General Corporate Practice Group specializing in investment laws, general corporate laws and capital market laws and has an in-depth understanding of legal as well as the commercial aspects of cross-border transactions.

Abhishek has extensive experience in representing and advising large and mid size domestic and multinational corporations in transactions involving acquisitions, mergers & demergers, hive offs, liquidations/winding up, restructuring & reorganizations, dispute resolution and taxation.

Abhishek has represented large US, Japanese, European and Indian clients in projects under various phases of development including both greenfield and rehabilitation projects, where he advised in all aspects of investment structuring and restructuring for efficient tax / stamp duty minimisation, statutory and regulatory approvals, drafting and review of project documentation including financing documentations, exchange control issues governing return on equity etc.

Abhishek has extensive experience in advising and representing a range of Clients including leading Indian business houses, Multinational corporations and International organizations in areas relating to Foreign Investments, Regulatory Approvals, Strategic Alliances and Collaborations, structuring of investment routes, joint ventures, feasibility studies etc.
