Justin is a lawyer with more than 25 years’ experience, more than 16 years of which he gained practising in Vietnam. Qualified in New South Wales, Australia, and holding a Vietnam Foreign Lawyer’s Practising Certificate, Justin gained top-tier private practice experience in Australia as well as senior in-house experience before moving to Vietnam in 2007, where he has practised ever since, in the top tier of private practice in Vietnam.

Primarily a corporate and commercial lawyer with a strong focus on mergers and acquisitions, Justin is also experienced in banking and finance and has had significant exposure to other key practice areas during his more than 16 years in Vietnam, including capital markets, real estate and construction, TMT, and employment law. Justin advises VC and PE funds and managers, institutional investors, corporates, and high net worth individuals across a diverse range of industry sectors in connection with their investment and business activities in Vietnam.

Justin’s clients (in his core practice area of mergers and acquisitions, in addition to his various ancillary practice areas including public and private investment funds and their managers from all over the world, in addition to global and regional industry leaders across a diverse range of industry sectors, including FMCG, wholesale and retail distribution, fintech, e-commerce, property development, manufacturing, telecommunications, and hospitality and gaming.

Justin believes in applying commercial sense and pragmatism to his provision of legal advice. Having spent approximately five years as an in-house general counsel for a large multi-national conglomerate in addition to his experience as a private practitioner, Justin brings a depth of commercial understanding which is unparalleled in the legal profession in Vietnam.
