Ms. Mihyun Melissa Park is a foreign attorney and the head of Energy & Infrastructure Group at DR & AJU LLC. Mihyun advises major clients on the development, financing and acquisition of large-scale greenfield and operational IPP projects (including renewables and offshore wind), hydrogen, LNG projects, hybrid renewable Battery energy storage system (BESS) project and infrastructure/PPP (rail, road, ports and airports) projects both in developed and emerging markets. She has drafted, reviewed and negotiated various forms of finance and project documents in relation to highly complicated project financing and leverage and acquisition financing. She has also advised on innovative and multi-sourced financing structures including export credit agencies (untied /tied/ covered/ direct) financing, senior, mezzanine and sponsor debts, green bonds and project bonds. She has recently focused on representing clients developing, acquiring and financing renewable projects in developed countries. In particular, she has been involved in innovative project financing where the lenders were being asked to consider taking merchant risk, offtaker’s credit rating risk or short-term tenor offtake risk. She has also advised clients onan early-stage greenfield small module reactor nuclear project, merchant BESS project and offshore wind projects, addressing various facets such as risk identification and the formulation of mitigation strategies for development, new technology, construction, delay, and commissioning risks.
