Stuart has experience of advising a wide range of employer clients both in relation to contentious and non-contentious matters.
He regularly provides advice to PLCs, limited companies, owner-managed business and NHS Trusts.
Stuart regularly advises on complex dismissals and pre-claim settlements involving directors or senior members of staff and for NHS Trusts he advises on the disciplining of doctors under MHPS.
He provides advice on collective redundancies and on the employment law implications of site closures. Stuart also advises both public and private sector organisations on TUPE matters, in particular in relation to the outsourcing of public sector services.
Stuart has defended many Employment Tribunal claims and he regularly undertakes his own advocacy at the Employment Tribunal. He has advised on Employment Tribunal matters involving claims of:
unfair and wrongful dismissal;
discrimination;
protected disclosure;
automatic unfair dismissal under TUPE; and
unlawful deduction of wages.
