What do you see as the main points that differentiate ariff rozhan & co from your competitors?

As a firm that primarily focuses on Disputes, we are less likely to encounter issues of conflicts, giving us access to a broader and more varied range of clientele.

Which practices do you see growing in the next 12 months? What are the drivers behind that?

Regulatory and Malaysian Offshore – due to stricter control by relevant authority and willingness to take enforcement action against those who are in breach of the law; Bolder moves by Offshore Companies who are willing to test limits imposed by regulatory authorities.

What's the main change you've made in the firm that will benefit clients?

Increase in number of partners and lawyers so that quality of advice and response time to urgent queries are not only maintained but improved.

Is technology changing the way you interact with your clients, and the services you can provide them?

Absolutely. For example, multijurisdictional face to face conference calls are now the norm, ensuring accessibility anytime anywhere.

Can you give us a practical example of how you have helped a client to add value to their business?

Introduced client to new insurers who we act for, who in turn, have offered better rates for the client’s insurance needs.

Are clients looking for stability and strategic direction from their law firms - where do you see the firm in three years’ time?

Clients look for pragmatic, commercial and realistic advice commensurate with their respective goals which change from time to time depending on what they want to achieve. Being versatile enough to do continuously meet client’s everchanging needs is the value add that clients look for.

We see ourselves diversifying into other non-contentious practice areas in the next 3 years, to meet our clients needs and demands.
