Career

Long Chay Jo is a Partner in Munhoe, focusing on Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice.

Chay Jo obtained his LL.B (Hons) from the University of London in 2010 and thereafter, completed his Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) in 2011. He also received a Diploma in International Arbitration in the same year. He underwent his pupillage in one of the largest law firms in Malaysia and was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in 2012.

Since then, Chay Jo has been active in the practice of dispute resolution and his portfolio focuses on corporate litigation such as shareholders’ disputes, minority oppression and breach of directors’ duties. He has considerable experience in construction (including but not limited to adjudication) and tenancy disputes, breach of fiduciary duties, professional negligence, fraudulent transactions and other tortious claims. He has represented corporate and private individuals, as solicitor and counsel, in all levels of Malaysian courts.

As a passionate yet practical litigator, he strives to provide pragmatic legal solutions to clients which translates to a time and cost-efficient manner in resolving disputes.
