Weightmans LLP

   Barry is an Associate in the Manchester Corporate team, mapped to the Weightmans’ Owner Managed Businesses segment (companies up to £100million turnover). He qualified as a solicitor in 2011 and joined Weightmans in January 2018.  He acts for private companies and specialises in a variety of corporate work, including: merger, acquisition and disposal activity, group re-organisations, equity investment, joint ventures, shareholders' agreements and articles of association, corporate governance and company law advisory.  Recent transactions he has acted on include:     Acquisition of Plastique Holdings Limited (UK) (Sonoco Holdings, Inc. (US))   Equity investment by BGF Investments LP(Planixs GRP Limited)   Re-organisation and onward sale of part of an insurance brokerage business(Caunce O’Hara to Markel UK)   Acquisition of a plastics moulding and fabrication engineering business based in the North of England.
