Position

Karim qualified in 2015 and joined Weightmans in 2018 where he was promoted to Associate in 2019.

Karim has extensive experience in defending multi-track personal injury claims and works with a range of multi-national insurers and self-insureds. He has particular expertise in advising fleets, bus operators and emergency services in relation to fatal and not fatal accidents. He advises on a range of litigation strategies as well as handling high-value injury claims and strategic litigation cases.

Karim is a client contact for a major self-insured client and does a wide variety of work for them across various disciplines. He acted for this client in a high-value claim described by the circuit judge as the “most fundamentally dishonest case” that he had ever heard and also deals with cases in the High Court for Committal Proceedings for Contempt of Court.

Karim has the reported case of Metroline Limited v Araujo [2021] 5 WLUK 46, a helpful decision in Contempt Proceedings.

Following a string of successful major trial wins, Karim joined Manchester’s large loss and catastrophic injury team, where he assists in the handling of cases of the utmost severity.  He also helps develop client relationships and training.
