Career

Stephen leads Davitt Jones Bould’s Higher Education team and is joint head of our public sector team.  He has a particular interest in structuring and delivering complex real estate led projects in the higher education, local authority, and housing sectors.  He has a special interest in the transition to net zero carbon, sustainability and green leases, procurement and delivery structures, and in student accommodation.  

He is renowned for providing an exceptional project management service, bringing together all relevant disciplines working on large projects, both legal and commercial. 

He has been described in Legal 500 as ‘’intellectual and entrepreneurial’’ and, in recognition of his work in the real estate sector, Stephen was elected as an honorary fellow of the RICS. He has chaired the property policy group for Pro-Manchester and is currently on the property and construction steering group for the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce as well as being a board member of the North-Western and Lancashire Chamber of Commerce.

Stephen works closely with the local and national property and development market and has extensive contacts who can provide up to date market intelligence, practical advice on the latest technical developments in net zero carbon, expert advice on construction disputes or advice on high quality design in university campuses.
