​Ben is an experienced commercial property lawyer who has practised as a solicitor both in the UK and Australia at firms including Pinsent Masons and Eversheds.

​Ben’s specialisms include advising the telecoms sector, acting for clients including Telefonica and Airwave Solutions Ltd, advising developers and institutional investors on major acquisitions, disposals and real estate financing, and advising office and retail occupiers on landlord and tenant matters.

WORK HIGHLIGHTS

Highlights include advising:

Telefonica and Vodafone on their network consolidation via a joint venture company.  This involved  over 3800 sites with a rent roll in excess of £43million. The lifetime value of the agreement is just under half a billion pounds.

Telefonica on all of the telecommunications issues relating to the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Burberry in connection with the grant of additional floor space and associated licence for alterations for their New Cathedral Street store in Manchester.

German fashion giants Bijou Brigitte on their store roll out in the UK.

General Electric on the sale of its property portfolio worth £1billion to Blackstone Group.

Government clients including Highways England, Care Quality Commission, Natural England and Defra on their estates management issues.
