Maeve maintains a practice in both property litigation and non-contentious property law, and is an expert in dispute resolution.  She advises institutions including Highways England, Defra and the Royal Parks on all issues relating to their estates including acquisitions and disposals, lease negotiations and litigious matters including contentious break notices and dilapidations.  Maeve has secured multi-million pound savings on dilapidations claims made against her clients.  Maeve is consistently ranked amongst the top litigators in the Legal 500.

Highlights include advising:

The Royal Parks on the contentious cases relating to their famous Parks.

A local authority on a Judicial Review case brought against them by an investment company.  The case related to a CPO for a new bypass.

The Cabinet Office and other Central Government departments on many dilapidations claims, successfully saving the taxpayer millions of pounds.

An Action Group in a professional negligence claim, recovering £690,000 against an engineering firm who had made mistakes in the design and construction of a coastal protection scheme.

Corporate occupiers on exiting leases via break clauses and notices to quit.

Highways England on the disposal of land via auction.
