Teresa joined DJB from the retailer John Lewis and Partners where she was the Interim Head of their Real Estate and Planning team.  In this role, Teresa was responsible for ensuring her team provided up to date, commercial and pragmatic property, construction and planning law advice to all divisions within the Partnership.  Before this, Teresa worked in private practice for firms including Addleshaw Goddard (Legal Director), Gowling WLG (Director), Pinsent Masons (Consultant) and others.  She has experience acting for  developers, hotel companies, investors and retail and leisure operators and gained a wide understanding of the issues and drivers that apply to them.   Teresa has a reputation for having a proactive attitude and giving accurate yet pragmatic commercial legal advice to deliver successful outcomes and minimise risks.

​The John Lewis Partnership (whilst in-house) on many high-profile legal matters including the £850m redevelopment of the John Lewis Department Store and its surroundings in Edinburgh.

TV Celebrity Chef Rick Stein's restaurant group on their lease strategy during the Covid-19 lockdown.

A Ieading Irish property developer in connection with the relocation of the US Embassy to its development site in Wandsworth.

A private equity company in connection with the secondary buyout of a leading hotel chain for £675 million, which involved banking, insurance, environmental issues as well as real estate issues.

A national restaurant chain on the disposal of their business, consisting of over 200 restaurants, to a major hotel chain.

A rail and infrastructure company in connection with a procurement agreement for both the construction of and subsequent maintenance of a station and services agreement for provision of a train service for a 20-year period.

An investor on the £1.64 billion securitisation of a super-regional shopping centre.
