Position

Kate is a partner in the Employment team based in Oxford. She has extensive experience across a wide range of employment law matters and advises on all aspects of employment law, both contentious and non-contentious.

Kate is experienced in advising both individuals and employers and has worked with clients of all shapes and sizes. She advises on all aspects of employment law including disciplinary, grievances and sickness management, redundancy and restructures, discrimination and Tribunal claims. She has particular experience in dealing with collective issues including large scale restructures and changes to terms and conditions, collective agreements and industrial relations.

Kate advises businesses and individuals on a wide variety of business immigration matters. She regularly provides advice and training to employers on their obligations in carrying out right to work checks. Kate supports organisations with sponsor licence applications and advises on compliance with their sponsor duties. She also provides advice to individuals who are applying for tier 2 visas or seeking to enter the UK as a business visitor.

Kate regularly supports the work carried out by her colleagues in other teams and provides advice on the employment aspects of corporate and property acquisitions, outsourcing and insolvency proceedings.

Kate speaks regularly at seminars and training sessions and has a wide range of experience in delivering bespoke training to HR professionals, line managers, procurement teams and in-house lawyers. She has been described as a “confident and poised speaker” whose delivery is “on the money” (delegate feedback).
