Career

Marie-Aude Ziadé advises and represents French and international companies, as well as senior executives, in strategic pre-litigations, litigations and arbitrations. She acts as counsel and as arbitrator in arbitral proceedings. She also assists her clients in mediation and other alternative dispute resolution procedures.

Before founding Fierville Ziadé, Marie-Aude worked in the international arbitration department at the Paris office of White and Case LLP, then in commercial and white-collar litigation at the French boutique firm Wilhelm & Associés. She subsequently worked for seven years in the in-house legal teams of several large corporations (Arkema, Amazon, Areva). Marie-Aude headed the Dispute Resolution department of Areva (now Orano), one of the world’s leaders in nuclear energy.

Marie-Aude always seeks solutions to complex disputes that are relevant and efficient on a long-term basis. Through her experience as both external counsel and in-house lawyer, she acquired a deep understanding of a client’s ecosystem and developed cross-disciplinary skills that allow her to handle some of the most sensitive cases with a 360° approach that is both pragmatic and daring. Accustomed to handling matters covered in the media, Marie-Aude is also experienced in crisis communications.

Marie-Aude sits as arbitrator in several pending ICC arbitrations.

Marie-Aude teaches private international law in a course supervised by Professor Christophe Seraglini of the University of Paris XI (Sceaux). She previously taught the same subject in a course supervised by Professor Pierre Mayer of the University of Paris I (Panthéon-Sorbonne) and at the leading French business school ESSEC, along with French civil law.
