David Ward joined Blacks Solicitors in 2011 where he completed his training contract and then qualified into the Employment Law team in 2013. He became an Associate Solicitor in 2016 and was promoted to Partner in 2019. David’s rapid promotion to Partner reflects only his skill and talent as an employment practitioner and litigator.

David currently acts for both high net worth/senior individuals and companies and is known for providing all clients with clear, down to earth and practical legal advice, combined with excellent client care. David specialises in running, often complex, employment tribunal litigation, negotiating contentious settlement agreements, and advising upon all aspects of employment law disputes.

Known for his tenacious attitude towards litigation, David has developed a robust practice representing Respondents and both single and group Claimants. David specialises in advising on disputes in the education sector, the Police/MOD and the manufacturing and agricultural industries.

Outside of work, David takes part in the University of Law pro bono advice clinic, advising members of the public on employment issues whilst also giving law students the opportunity to participate in the giving of and recording of legal advice. He has a keen interest in the automotive and agricultural sectors which align with his hobbies involving classic tractors, farming and track days.
