Jones Myers nationally/internationally acclaimed Children Department excels in matters including international child abduction and issues centered on jurisdiction, overseas adoption. Consistently achieving extremely high relocation success rate of returns of children in international abduction issues (within and outside EC, Hague, Non-Hague Convention countries). Department specialises in private residence and contact disputes, care proceedings, adoption, abduction, special guardianship, relocation, educational matters. Lawyers represent private individuals (parents, grandparents, family members acting through their Trusts), Local Authorities, Children and Family Court Advisory and Support Service (CAFCASS). Around 50% of complex case work originates from existing clients or referrals including those from law firms who lack the expertise. Services expansion to Court of Protection work - now covering entire range of children/vulnerable adult cases.

Position

Joining the Children Department in 2016  as a specialist in childcare law and children’s matters, Jane represents parents, grandparents, children and local authorities in proceedings.

Fully accredited by the Law Society Children Panel, a widely recognised professional standard for demonstrating experience and expertise in this sensitive area
