NEW APPOINTMENT FUELS GROWTH FOR JONES MYERS YORK TEAM
The York office of Jones Myers is marking further growth with a new appointment following the firm’s move to bigger city centre offices.
Trainee solicitor, Harriet Holmes, joins the award-winning team of niche family lawyers at the practice’s contemporary 2,200 sq ft premises at The Quadrant, Bootham Row.
The office is headed by partner, Nicki Mitchell, York’s first qualified collaborative family lawyer who is also a family law mediator and a child inclusive mediator.
Said Nicki: “Jones Myers’ presence within the York legal market has been further consolidated and enhanced by our new and larger premises. We’re delighted to welcome Harriet who has already become a valued member of our growing and talented team as we continue to be recognised as a sector leader within the city.”
The York team, which continues to expand its services, is highly regarded for understanding clients’ wider needs during the process of separation. Its specialist lawyers work with clients to understand what they need and advise on the best way for them of getting there.
Said Harriet: “Jones Myers reputation for excellence is known far and wide. As a forward thinking and expanding niche family law firm, it is a great practice for me to develop my career and learn from the best family lawyers in the profession.”
Jones Myers managing partner, Richard Peaker, said: “We wish Harriet every success in her new role as Nicki and the team continue to further enhance our client portfolio and reputation in York.”
Jones Myers, which has achieved top tier legal rankings in authoritative legal guides for over two decades, has retained its Family Law Firm of the Year North title in the Family Law Awards across 2020-2022.
For over two decades the practice, which also has offices in Leeds and Harrogate, has been consistently ranked in a joint Top Tier position by the Legal 500 and Chambers guides alongside national firms.
