Gillian has specialised in medical negligence since qualifying as a solicitor in 1989, and has been the Managing Partner of Gadsby Wicks since its formation in 1993. With decades of expertise in this complex area of law, she epitomises the firm’s 100% commitment to helping those affected by substandard medical treatment.

Gillian founded Gadsby Wicks to ensure people affected by medical negligence received the utmost focus and best representation to achieve the justice and compensation they deserved. Understanding the scale of expertise, skills and resources required to see these claims through to resolution, she has been steadfast in the firm’s sole focus on this area.

As Managing Partner, Gillian oversees all aspects of the business, including steps to ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and financial authorities. She also consults with, mentors and supervises all solicitors within the practice, and trains junior members of the team.

For over 30 years Gillian has been highly motivated by the goal of securing answers and compensation for her clients, so that they can regain control over their lives and move forward with absolute reassurance.

Gillian is a Senior Litigator and Accredited Clinical Negligence Specialist with the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL). She is also part of the Law Society’s Clinical Negligence Accreditation Scheme, and on the AvMA Specialist Clinical Negligence Solicitors Panel.

In addition, Gillian is a member of the AvMA Legal Support Group and the American Association for Justice.

Gillian achieved her LLB (Hons) at the University of East Anglia in 1986, and qualified as a solicitor in 1989.
