He was admitted as a solicitor in January 2016 after completing his training contract with a regional firm specialising in Residential Property law where he was promoted to the role of Senior Solicitor.

Oliver-James joined Pinney Talfourd in 2018 and works within the Property Litigation Department. He was promoted to an Associate in 2021.

He regularly deals with instructions covering several departments, working with colleagues across the commercial property, residential property, and private client teams. This involves him in disputes relating to commercial tenant covenants, failed property completions, and promissory estoppel. As a result, he is experienced in practical litigation and fully understands how this can impact on day-to-day life.
