Career

Julia commenced her Training Contract with Holmes & Hills Solicitors, a leading law firm in East Anglia and recognised in Legal 500, qualifying as a Solicitor upon completion of her two-year training contract in June 2017. Upon qualification, Julia joined the firm’s Private Client department. During her time at the firm, Julia also successfully completed training to become a Dementia Friend.

In January 2018, Julia joined Paul Robinson Solicitors, a well-established Essex based firm with a London presence, which are also WIQS accredited (Wills & Inheritance Quality scheme), where she continued working in the Private Client department for a further three years. As well as Private Client work Julia also undertook other associated work such as preparing Declarations of Trust and General Powers of Attorney.

In March 2021, Julia joined the Private Client department of Pinney Talfourd LLP, where she undertakes a wide range of Private Client work

Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu

Memberships

Julia is an Accredited Lifetime Lawyer – on of the most qualified lawyers in the country supporting vulnerable and older people. She is often approached by clients on the website due to the fact she is bilingual and can speak to them in Hindi, Punjabi or Urdu if required as well as see elderly clients at their house if they are unable to attend the office.

Julia is currently working towards her qualification to become a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and has completed her first exam towards this.

Education

Julia Sood completed her Law Degree from Anglia Ruskin University, she then went onto doing her Legal Practice Course with the College of Law in Bloomsbury, London in 2014.

Personal

In her spare time Julia likes to read, undertake new projects, socialise with family & friends and travel.
