Vanessa is one of the leading property litigators in the south east region. She has been involved in resolving a wide range of complex and high-value disputes and leads the practice area at Shakespeare Martineau.

She is highly skilled at working closely with her clients to develop a strategy to resolve any dispute in a way that meets their commercial objectives. She is calm but proactive and highly focused on achieving the required outcomes, whilst retaining her down-to-earth and relatable manner.

Vanessa’s clients range from developers to local authorities and a range of landlords and tenants, both in the commercial and residential sectors.

Her recent work highlights include advising on the implications of the Building Safety Act 2022 and cladding remedial works, advising on a complex vacant possession requirement and dilapidations claim for a tenant of an Aerodrome and acting on a bounds Ru dispute and adverse possession claim relating to an are required for access to a development site.
